We're Homie, and we're building property reports that don't suck. Right now, we're collecting emails for our waitlist so we can let you know when we're ready to launch. We use PostHog to understand how people use our site (so we can make it better), and Vercel Analytics for basic stats. That's it. No sneaky stuff, no selling your data, no spam.

We're UK-based and GDPR-compliant. You've got rights, and we respect them.

What We Collect

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• Send you waitlist updates and launch notifications (you signed up for this)
• Share relevant product updates about Homie (no spam, we promise)
• Understand how people use our site so we can make it better
• Improve our calculators and tools based on what's actually useful
• Respond to your questions or support requests

We will never sell your data. We will never spam you with junk. We're here to build something useful, not to be annoying.

Legal Basis (GDPR Stuff)

Under GDPR, we process your data based on:

• Consent: When you join our waitlist, you're consenting to receive updates from us
• Legitimate interests: We use analytics to improve our service, which benefits everyone

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or unsubscribing from our emails.

Third-Party Services

We work with a few trusted services to make Homie work:

We only share data with these services as necessary to operate Homie. We don't sell or rent your information to third parties.

How Long We Keep Your Data

• Waitlist emails: We keep these until Homie launches and for a reasonable period after (to send relevant updates). If you ask us to delete your data, we'll do it immediately
• Analytics data: PostHog and Vercel retain data according to their policies (typically aggregated and anonymized after a set period)

Once you're no longer interested in Homie, just let us know and we'll delete your information. No questions asked.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: Ask us what data we have about you
• Right to rectification: Ask us to correct any incorrect data
• Right to erasure: Ask us to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
• Right to data portability: Get a copy of your data in a machine-readable format

• Right to withdraw consent: Unsubscribe or ask to be removed from our waitlist at any time

How We Protect Your Data

We take security seriously. Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

That said, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We do our best, but we can't guarantee absolute security.

We use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) to:

• Remember your calculator inputs so you don't have to re-enter them
• Track basic analytics (via PostHog and Vercel)
• Improve your experience on the site

Most browsers let you control cookies. You can disable them if you want, but some features of Homie might not work as well.

Children's Privacy

Homie is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you're a parent and believe your child has given us information, please contact us and we'll delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We might update this privacy policy from time to time as Homie evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know via email (if you're on our waitlist) or with a notice on our website.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when we last revised the policy.
